Chandrika Shrobe's diverse life influences — Zen Buddhism, Yoga, Judaism, African-American culture, and a downtown New York upbringing — have all influenced her one-of-a-kind designs. Each original piece is hand-crafted by the artist in her Brooklyn studio and features semi-precious stones and pendants culled from Africa, India, Asia, and the Americas.
Chandrika's necklaces have been described as "funky and stylish with a precious quality" and have been featured in InStyle magazine, Metropolitan Home, Britain's Untold magazine, on CNN Headline News, and at the 2003 Grammy Awards.
Chandrika is the daughter of Zen Master Wu Kwang and family therapist Brenda Shrobe. She has studied at New York University and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
